Title: Can you describe the Bloviator?
Post by: FloorIt on February 04, 2015, 03:26:31 AM
Having a hard time understanding how this effects your sound.  Can someone explain it?

How many of you have this as a permanent resident on your pedal board?

I have one each on my electric as well as acoustic board as the very last in the chain before amp.
I have it basically all the time on, when I switch it off I miss clarity and distinction in sound IMO.
As far as I understand the effect is basically a eq of the signal specifically designed to counter deficiencies in speaker acoustics and physical properties of amplifying a guitar signal with a classic speaker cone design; to 'bring back the sound as it should be'.
And that's what it does for me. It's also a bit like 'taking the blanket off the speaker cabinet, it's more defined and crisper with it on. I dig it.

Just my two cents... :)

Always-on effect for me, too. Last thing before amp. Makes the signal sound 'clearer' or sweeter I guess. Love it.
