Title: Boneyard
Post by: mjcyates on June 04, 2011, 03:37:29 PM
Here are pics of my Boneyard build. I initially did not care for it too much. I changed the led clippers to silicon diode clippers and I like it much better.

With the wrong clippers, you get the wrong results ;)

Nice build man... really tidy!  You could fit a cut lunch in that enclosure, 1590DD?

Nice!  I wish I'd used a bigger box for mine.  Maybe not necessary for the circuit, but definitely better for ergonomics.

I may try different diodes in mine.  Thanks for the heads up on the mod 8)  Are those just 1n914's?

Yes, 1590DD, not really necessary but what the heck.

You are welcome, yes 1N914's, to me they sound way better than the LED's.

Nice job! Very clean. Did you consider trying germanium diodes in the clipping section?

Thanks! I may experiment with some different diodes, however, most of the overdrives that I like all seem to use the 1N914's, so I guess that's just what my ears like to hear.
