Title: help figuring out treble frquency on this schematic
Post by: garfo on February 19, 2015, 10:21:56 PM
Can someone help figure out how do I determine the treble frequency on this schematic? I wanted to set the freq around 3k.
I believe it is arround the 2.5n/10k/25k pot section. This is supposed to be around 5k on the original build.

Download the Tone Stack Calculator and look at the Fender stack, seems to be that with just a fixed resistor for mids.

Yep, I had it already and it is a scalled down Fender stack. Thanks
By the way, this circuit has tons ov volume and it has some gain of its own.
I've replaced the input 100k volume pot with a 10k volume pot on the output.
I wonder If I want to tame the input volume should I put a resistance in series with the input of the circuit, something like 100k????

Yeah. You could set up a variable resistor with a trimpot, and then you can tune the input signal to taste. Measure it, and then put a similar resistor in there.

Did you download the tone stack calculator? You can tinker with the values to your heart's content.
