The man is a real artist, as a player, as a composer and as a pedal user :). It is hard to see a jazz player use that many pedals
he's been a daily inspiration for me for the past 5-7 years!
theres also adam rogers, wayne krantz , .... lage lund, mike moreno, scofield obviously.... ?
not many many others

and don't forget Mr Frisell (probably my favorite guitarist) and Wolfgang Muthspiel.
I really dig Adam Rogers, Scofield and Lage Lund, but Wayne Krantz has never been my cup of tea (although he has really great songs) and I haven't heard enough from Mike Moreno.
Another guy I've been listening to a lot lately is Jakob Bro. His music has a certain Frisellian vibe.
Wow, other Kurt lovers. But I didn't know he was a pedal user. Cool to know.
+3 here!
Where's Guitarmageddon Ben? He's another Kurt fan.

Nice to hear these names here indeed and great video! Reconfirms my plan to save some money to buy a superego...
Nels Cline isn't bad either among (kinda) jazz guitarists who have a fetish with pedals: :-)

Yep, I saw him live last year here in Santander, for free, in a theatre with a 30 people ambience. A very special experience... what he does with the 16 second EHX delay is awesome, it would be nice to try to replicate the inner working of that pedal

I can't decide if this is either totally discouraging to picking up that guitar tonight or totally inspirational :P

i can't decide what is most indecent: THE shirt, or the amount of work required to get to that level of playing....
If playing that great comes with the shirt count me in for a dozen colors of said shirt!
I think the shirt is way of saying ' I can wear that and still be admired. I am THAT good at guitar!!'

More seriously. Kurt said in a master class than during his berkelee years, he would play 10-12 hours a day and then practice more. That doesn't come from nothing. The sheer amount of work this guy did is impossible to imagine. And from the evolution he had in the last few years, he still works a lot

Ive read so many biographies, just finished Santana's, and the common thread is 15+ hours playing/practicing every freakin day when they were kids. Unreal. I think SRV seemed like he played 20 hours a day :P
I've been listening to Wolfgang Muthspiel today and it seem he has a signature Moffa too.

If you don't know him, you should check some youtube videos, the man is amazing with both classic and electric guitars (I really dig the use he gives to loopers too):
