Post by: cjkbug on June 08, 2011, 04:06:03 AM
here's an aristocrat named "the tone king"
built with the high gain mod on side b otherwise built to spec. finished in enamel with a full face decal featuring the king of diamonds from a mayan theme deck of cards. cleared with polyurethane.

Looks really cool...and your thoughts on how it sounds?

sounds just like my v2 king. of tone. tons of output, more than you'd ever need. cuts really well with the band at high volume. one of my favorite od's. I find the presence control unnecessary, I set the dips to boost on the first channel and od on the second so when I drive one into the other I end up with the same tone as the distortion setting but at a more reasonable volume. the next one I build will be set up like a v2 kot where you have a bypass and the second switch switches between channels and I'll probably jumper the dip switch settings. I never change em.

That looks really awesome! It's good to hear it matches the KOT in sound!
You've been busting out lots of builds! I really like your decals...
