Title: What Makes Electric Guitar Sounds
Post by: cranberry3 on March 05, 2015, 08:26:18 PM
I'm guessing it's not absolutely 100% accurate, but I thought this was an interesting article on the history of guitar sounds/effects, from The Atlantic:

cheers, d.

I thought that was known as "putting a freakin hole in your speaker." lol

I'm going to start attaching a speaker to my opamp feedback loop for some good ol clipping.

Not just any car either. It has to be a '48 Merc or there's no mojo! And folks are going to have to make stronger card tables!

I dunno, _I Dream Of Wires_ had some insightful stuff as regards to guitar players and what will sell.
