Title: Recycling
Post by: juansolo on April 01, 2015, 06:47:35 PM
Saving the environment dude!

3 enclosures that were formerly something else, now with new guts in.

First is the Enchanter which was a Timmy clone on vero, the second was a BBpre clone. Both have been re-housed in a multi leaving their original boxes empty. Seemed rude not to use them so in there has gone Cleggy and my Grind Catch-22 boards (Timmy-ish).

The decals are as they were because I liked them and they worked on the enclosure. I just changed the text.

A Forced Fire Stutter Tremolo with Cj's mods. This one has holes filled on it which determined the completely unrelated decal (dark down the middle to hide the filled holes).

Cool trio! Recycling can be a dirty job, but your builds look neat!
I've always loved that Tim-wizard Timmy :)

Do you have an schematic for the stutter trem including Forrest's mods? I've tried to search it and have only found demo videos, is like the internet wants me to like that pedal even more

Thanks John! It looks like a fun circuit to breadboard.

Saving the planet in style, looking superb as usual and those filled holes are well hidden for sure!

I've never heard of that tremolo before, it looks cool, does someone sell a pcb?

Don't know if they do any more. I snagged that one in a clear-out Rej was having.

I can contact Nathan (Forced-Fire) and see if he's okay with doing another run of boards. I kind of doubt he'd mind.

I'm not inclined to change the layout simply because it was made to his precise specifications. It can be noisy if not laid out just so. Dude has a master's degree in EE, so I trust his judgement.  ;)

Nice! I love stutter trems and was already thinking about modding this one to its paces (that might conflict with the no-noise layout, but would be fun for sure)

btw.... I'm about to get a master's degree in EE and I don't trust my judgement..... I hope this will change once obtained  :P

Hate to tell you this, Juan, but you can see the hole in the last one, just to the side of one of the eyes. Now that's going to bug you endlessly ;)

More seriously, great as always. I love the "Fucks given = 0" text :)

Yeah it's not as well hidden as the other two. But other than making the whole pedal black, or painting it, it was always going to be a compromise (decals are transparent). You don't notice it as much as you do in the photo. But it was for me anyhow, so I'm not as bothered about my own stuff being perfect. ;)

Great stuff as usual. Is the Enchanter from Monty Pythons a wizard name Tim?

King Arthur: By what name are you known?
The Enchanter: There are some who call me..........................Tim?

I believe it was also PC's original inspiration for the name.

Great name for a Timmy pedal. Tim is by far my favorite wizard.
