What do you think which circuit is this? :)
it's the zero point super deluxe 2 proto! 8)
Sounds like something by Mid-fi pedals.. hmm
Cody
It sounds like awesome.
sounds awesome for sure! i give up?? :(
I don't know but i really want to know.
Cody wins!
It's the clarinot that I've moded with the opto-chopto LFO from beavisuadio. I finished this one long ago but never got to boxing it, actually I wasn't really sure I was gonna do it at all, so it got done pretty much below the standards I've sort of set for myself as a builder but whatever. This is a reused enclosure, previously you've seen my Sharkfin in this enclosure.
Some guys organized an effects pedals event here in Belgrade, it's gonna be held in a few days, I have applied and I was going through all my builds trying to determine which one to use in the performance and I actually found this one to be just what I needed.
It sounds trashy, it looks trashy, it's white, so I derived the name from there. It definitely isn't polite sounding so I labeled the controls like I have.
Obviously, no guts no glory, I am ashamed to show this but whatever, it was done in such speed that it's no wonder the guts are like this - https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-rrkHnDJhk0c/VTOX7QSj1ZI/AAAAAAAADH4/jB6u5QItF4E/w496-h883-no/WP_20150418_001.jpg , lol.
Anyway, I used a trimpot for the LFO speed, I didn't want another pot and the thought of doing it via the plastic shaft attached to a flat circular "knob" bugged me for a long time so I decided to go for it. It works really well and it makes the build a bit more interested in my view at least.
There are a lot of sounds that could be achieved with this, you've heard one example, I'm gonna record some more very soon. I think you will like em.

Not only does it sound great, it looks fantastic!

There. Are. No . Words...

Man I love the clarinot, its a great/fun circuit. I always love you faceplates, they always look so clean. This build had the best knob labels also, great job.
Cody
The knob labels are hysterical. Any white trash friends around that would steal it? Lol. I always always look forward to your builds. Entertaining in every way. :)
Steve.
Wait, I thought the Clari(not) only shifted pitch down? How'd you get it to go up instead?
It's been a little while since I plugged mine in, so feel free to correct me if I'm totally wrong about this.
Wicked stuff! 8)
perfect build :)
and very cool way to start a build report ;)
What else could we expect from you Cortex than a crazy noizzze pedal that sounds awesome :D Looking forward to hear new full length demo and it sure is going to be winner at contest in BG.
haha thank you guys. I stumbled upon a sound that I need for the contest and I am afraid to change it haha, but as soon as the event has passed I will record all kinds of examples with this, some of the sounds I got with this thing I didn't even think were possible in analog haha.
the gist of it is that you can set the tempo at which two different delay speeds will alternate. and then...you engage feedback. and then...
add some clarinot sauce to it. and...
yeah. amino-acid flashbacks occur.
The demo can't top the Pantera's A new level Arcade ver.... or will it? LOL
I really loved that demo
Cody
hahaha no, nothing will top that in terms of brootz :P
this one will be much more atmospheric I suppose, and sick. sickness is the main thing here hahaha, wobbly, spining, downward facing spiral of demise
This looks great. Another boss faceplate etch. How thick is that plate?
Thick enough to be able to mount the pots and not a mm more, sometimes it's tricky. The faceplates I use are laser engraved not etched, so all the credit goes to the machines :)
Looks awesome sounds awesome,
gut shot is crackers floating on spaghetti! I actually like it.
A wanton disregard for the social norm speaks to me of rebellion and turmoil!
Art comes in many forms.
I love the aesthetics of your pedals. It is cool that you have such a distinct vibe that upon seeing one I immediately know, that is a Cortexturizer pedal ;)
:o
You made the folks at Wal-Mart proud man!
I love it!!!!
Thanks gents!
Blearyeyes your comment made me laugh, awesome :D
Tomorrow - the rest of the clips, I promise!
Our busiest layout bee right now - mr Brejna, is looking to do a layout of this with everything on board naturally. When he does I might just throw this all away and replace the intestines with his pcb haha

Awesome! He's been on a roll lately. Just finished populating his Tight Metal layout and it sounds great.
Cody
Guys here's the demo that I promised. I tried to show all of the sounds that are in there. So many sounds, not for the faint of heart.
I really flew off the handle at the end, apologies for that.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B--6F_4JB7SYREZtaHkwUS0wekk/view?usp=sharing - the DEMO
It has to be my most used pedal right now. It's just so awesome with loopers and for that whammy-like envelope craziness. I use the envelope a lot but I also play it very clean. Almost never use the fuzz side, just as a weird delay. But I mainly use the rhythmic noise delay filter sound, as shown in this pedalboard jam that I've made today. Here I played the reverb pedal in front of it, and occasionally I would engage the pigtronix ep2 in the envelope mode. The pedals was with Blend set all the way which is full wet. That's actually the setting of the Blend pot I used for all of the sounds recorded in the demo above. Full wet.
Hope you'll enjoy it
