Title: Pulsing Sound
Post by: pryonisys on April 22, 2015, 07:37:37 PM
I'm testing my first diy pedal (8-Ball) and am not getting any sound from the guitar through, but I am getting a pulsing sound every second or so, it is very steady.
Has anyone else ever had this?

Can you check if your power is perhaps being shorted? That pulsing sound reminds me of the automatic shutting off supplies like the 1spot do when they are shorted.

Check diode orientation

I have that happen before, ended up being my OneSpot that was tuning on and off from its protection circuit and causing a pulsing sound due to the flipped diode.
