Hi folks,
This is a build report of a cmos switch based phaser. It's an amazing project by Fredrik Lyxzén.
Sounds very nice, I think it has some of that OTA phaser character. There are also some crazy vowel sounds.
And best part is components are easily and cheaply obtained.
This was my first time etching an enclosure, thanks to Selfdestroyer for the great tutorial. Things are not perfectly aligned but I like it a lot

Sweet build! Your etch looks great! I wouldn't know it was crooked if you didn't mention it, it looks like it's supposed to be that way.
A phaser without FETs or OTA... that's crazy awesome!
Looking great :)
Thanks for the comments guys!
I think this one is definetely worth a try
Really cool, great build! 8)
I must find out more about that guy Fredrik Lyxzén and his projects, since recently the arcadiator popped up here too.
What interesting stuff!

The badstone is another that doesn't use FETs or OTAs. Looking for to Hab n Scruffies board for that one...
Thanks guys!
To the ones of you who don't know Fredrik's designs, he just showed up and goes by Freppo here at MB
Nice one! I have etched and partially populated Freppo's ring mod and silver fox. Looks like he has two new ones!
I really hope he continues to pump out these designs because they are really cool and up my alley. Now I want to etch the phaser project!
There is an example of a pwm phaser on the geo site.

He uses a uC for the oscillator, but the phaser part is a similar idea.
Edit: just noticed his copyright notice is dated 2001!
Andrew.
I think the labeling looks like you meant to do that! If you didnt' say anything, I wouldn't have even thought that. Nicely done!
The more I look at the design in the middle of the pedal the more I like it.. simple and effective. great job all around.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!
It's really inspiring and rewarding given the quality of everything posted here
(but those crooked graphics still bother me some :P )
very nice! looks like he has some very cool circuits there.
