Title: The Trill Is Gone...
Post by: selfdestroyer on May 15, 2015, 04:36:12 PM
Quote(CNN)Riley B. King, the legendary guitarist known as B.B. King, whose velvety voice and economical, expressive style brought blues from the margins to the mainstream, died Thursday night.

He was 89.

His daughter, Patty King, said he died in Las Vegas, where he announced two weeks ago that he was in home hospice care after suffering from dehydration.

Here lies a legend.

RIP BB

Cody

What a man, what a legend, what an inspiration!
RIP BB, the King.
I had the pleasure to see him twice in concert, never to be forgotten.

I saw BB King in the late 90s at a club in Providence.  It was crazy he played there - the place was abnormally small, no seats.  I was around 5 feet away.

I was lucky enough to see him in the early 90's.  Great concert.

RIP B.B.

I had the pleasure of seeing him a few years ago with Buddy Guy. While he was past his prime, he still laid down some tasty licks and was quite the showman and storyteller. He will be missed.

Why is it you think legends like BB King will always be there?

Never got to see him live. Miss you man, you made a mark In this world.

Prayers for your family.

Daniel S.

Now I got the Blues....

Aw crap. I had the distinct pleasure of seeing his show and meeting him afterwards. When I shook hands it was like putting your hand in a catchers mitt. He was a very sweet man and having seen him in his later years he was much more laid back but still could find the note to hang your hat on. My Lab Series L5 is most of my live rig lately and it never sounded like his. Now it never will.
