I went shopping for a new acoustic guitar and the wife spotted this, so now I still gotta buy an acoustic. Got it at GC, a limited special edition candy apple red HSS Strat with a synchronized tremolo, whatever that means. , sounds incredible.

Congrats, brother! ;D
Congrats! Synchronized trem means ol' skool whammy bar. Now get back to the search for an acoustic!
Nice one Jimi. You used to be a bass player, right? :P

That's just what I was thinking.

Yep, but it's way more entertaining to write music on six strings than four, also I have a couple of mandolins I need to improve on. Also I still need an acoustic.

[/quoted hated strays til about 3 or so years ago, now I have 4. Thank you, it is dam sexy, my wife can pick them out for sure.
What kind of acoustic you looking for. Currently downsizing, trying to get to <80 (translation - trying to move 50, 30 already gone).
Looking for something not too big. I like the size and sound of the seagull mini jumbo. The bigger ones make my arm go to sleep. Something less than 500 is what I was looking for. Love love love the SG btw.
I actually have a Seagull mini jumbo. Great guitar. Can send you some pics if you'd like. Glad you're loving the SG.
That's a nice one! If only i could find someone to buy my Jag.... and get a strat.. just for the sake of rock and roll!
Well done man, looks a treat. Acoustic next time 8)

Sure, what do you want for it?
Maybe if you go shopping for a ukulele your wife will get you one of these:

You parting with all those PRS finally?!
BTW: it's nothing special in terms of an instrument but last summer I had a few days to play on a Big Baby Taylor and it was great! So, so easy to play and pretty decent sounding.

Taylor Big Babies are great especially for the price.
Congrats Jimmy. I have a Fender HSS and love it.

Trying to get down to 20 PRSs. Currently down to 24 from 26, can't decide what the next four are going to be.

I actually compared the big baby to the seagull and was disappointed the the seagull sounded better. That's why I made my decision.
I've never tried the seagull but I can tell you that a big baby just needs a little time to break in. I've had mine for about 10 years and I prefer it over some of the "real" taylors. But now I will definitely have to check out those seagulls next time I get a chance!

I would absolutely agree with you. I think that the Seagull would blow the BB out of the water. I have an Alvarez that is hands down WAY better than any BB I've played. Don't get me wrong I love Taylor guitars, but it seems like you need to spend at least $800 to get a really nice one IMO.
The Seagull Mini Jumbos are ludicrously good guitars, especially at their price point. I've got a Taylor 110CE, and the Seagull sounds and plays better by a significant amount, for a third (or is it a quarter now) of the price.
I checked on shipping Jimi, it's going to be a deal killer based on the size of the box. Musiczoo (ebay) has a Mini Jumbo Ltd Walnut on for $249 with free shipping, you should be all over that one.
The Martin X series acoustics are also very good VFM, especially if you can get past the look of the laminated neck. Have a DX-1 and a OOO-X and they play and sound great. Steer clear from the new Sigma line though, picked up a 000 Sigma (the old ones used to be branded under Martin, the new ones just kept the name and no affiliation) for a steal (or so I thought), and it is horrifically dead sounding.

Yeah I figured it might be based on the shipping to get it here, thanks for checking though.
Tricone Resonator! :)
Oh, and nice strat...

I bought one last year and am pretty happy with it. I adjusted the action (way too high) and it plays a lot better than it did when I bought it.
