Hi.
I'm working on an animato clone from the confirmed schematic that's floating about the web.
So, my pcb appears to be laid out correctly. It's just so noisy! Like, wind tunnel noisy! But when playing it's actually quite a nice pedal.
Has anyone built this? Is it a noisy pedal?
Alternatively, does anyone know how I could build a clone using a bmp board with some mods perhaps?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
You can try to match up the parts to the Mudbunny PCB or any other BMP PCB for that matter. Just compare the 2 schematics.
Is this the schematic you used?

Yeah!
Considering its a Big Muff clone and Big Muffs are already noisy to begin with....... I don't think sticking a treble booster in front of it reduces the noise factor.
If you're going to make a board for it why not include a clean blend with it as well. They all say its sounds best on bass using a clean blend pedal like the Boss LS-2, why not include this function on this build as well?
If I can get the basic original circuit sounding something like. Then I'd look at a blend.
Re built it on Vero. Works A treat! I'll have to revisit that pcb someday.
Any suggestions for a cleanblend as I've not used one before?

For my BMP variants, I use the Schooner made by Jubal81
