Title: My first multi (DMinner content)
Post by: flanagan0718 on February 25, 2016, 09:40:20 PM
Hey guys, So a while ago Dan and I started talking about a "wall of sound" build we wanted to do. It's massive! It has 4 boards in it and this is a very unique sounding build. By Far the biggest I've done. Here are the boards.

Way Huge - Red Llama Clone - This is controlled by the Level and Gain controls on the pedal. It is a fuzz type effect and also acts as the main on / off of the pedal. None of the other effects will come on with out this engaged. You can how ever turn the other effects on before engaging the RL. (Layout by perfboardeffects)

Dead Astronaut - Flying Saucer Reverb - This is a VERY spacey / oscillating reverb. This is controlled but the Reverb Mix, Damp, Tone, OSC switch, and hidden Bright switch (red cap). This is probably the most versatile reverb I have ever had the chance to play with.

Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay - This is a great clean sounding PT2399 delay. It leaves nothing to be desired in the delay field. This is controlled by the Delay Mix, Feedback, and, Delay pots. Great for those longer, almost oscillating repeats. (layout by perfboardeffects)

Parasit Studios - Sonic Reducer- Your 8 Bit MADNESS! This is controlled buy the 8-Bit toggle switch, Rate, and Resolution pots. This adds that extra weirdness that both Dan and I love. Plus Parasit Studios has some of the coolest original design effects out there.

But I know what you all want!

Great work on the wiring and the build!

Dan, I've run out of superlatives for your designs, so, y'know, good job and stuff.  ;D

Thanks for all the kind words. The real art, as we all know, is Dan's beautiful designs. I also want to thank Freppo, Perfboardlayouts, Deadastronaut, and GCFX for all the yummy boards and layouts!!!

Dan, thanks for posting those pictures too. I need to learn how to take good pictures at some point  ::)

Beautiful work, Mike!  Great mix of effects.  And I love the etch.  The blue LEDs really bring it to life.

DMinner is DMan! So beautifully thought through and executed. That is so beautiful. And, what a cool sounding implementation of those circuits. Gorgeous etches, very tidy guts. Symbiosis at its best. Dan, I'm curious about that guitar.

Thanks man.  Mike is a crazy man. It is fun to work with someone so fearless...bascially "Yeah, I have never done a multi before, but one with four circuits should be no problem" haha.

Also, the guitar, I designed it and had a local luthier build it.  See pg 2 here: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=20852.msg205899#msg205899

Rad. So is it a new production wide range, or one of the super rare authentic oldies? Either way, that's one cool axe.

Nice it's a pretty huge pedal full of awesome. It is one thing people who know say I am...fearless. The verb alone on that thing is out of this world. I'm glad people like it!

That's really original all the ay around. Nice job. What kind of pick up set up do ou have in your guitar, single or Buckers? Sounded like singles too me. The fuzz sounds really good.

They are actually hums. It's the stock 490s in my SG. My camera just makes them sound a little thin that's all. The fuzz is a red llama clone.
