will the Timelapse support (4) MN3005's? Hopefully so to get close to a ehx tt1100. My BBD's await. Any eta on the project?
Sorry, no. There's only room for two BBDs on it. No definite ETA but I will be working on it this month after these 1590G boards get out.
sounds good. i'm gonna build one as soon as they're available.
Hey! So it sounds like the timelapse will use the MN3005s? Is it designed specifically for those chips or will it take others? A friend and I are hoping to build the DMM clone soon but having a DMM or similar with tap tempo would be awesome. :)
OMG !
Please Brian, let us know further details about that new circuit. I assume this one will replace the ABDX ? What will be the maximum delay time ?
Thanks.
1100ms would be a game changer
Max 2 x BBDs = 600mS of clean delay (DM-2 style) tops, if you want 1 second you'll be looking at some very dark, dirty and murky delay.
What about using a Total Recall Expansion Board with Four MN3005 instead of 3008? Or will be just completely incompatible with this project?
Any heads up on what controls it will have and what box it will fit into?
^^also extremely interested in the above question^^
Are the only dissuasions due to board real estate?
What's the voltage going to be on the Timelapse? I'm curious because my effects loop of the amp I currently play blows every delay pedal I've tried away and something tap-able with high headroom would be awesome.

very true, not a delay expert but long delays on BBDs are not usualy worth it imo.

It will be 9v-powered but I will be experimenting with up to 15v to see how it does.
Any chance of the Timelapse having tap tempo? (I just realized today that the TT-1100 was back in production b/c of XVive. Sorry; I live under a rock.)

ähhmmm, the description literally says "Tap-Tempo Analog Delay" ;D

CURSES! I'm getting all my delays confused. This is the PCB I've been waiting on all year!!!
Any news on the release date for this project? If its gonna be awhile any chance the ABDX pcbs will get released again to hold us over till then? I already built a total recall, really interested in the ABDX tho...

The ABDX is available as etchable project in the etchers paradise section. You can also try the Buy/Sel/Trade area of the forum. My guess would be that it will still take a while to finish this monster.
If I recall correctly, before the big crash Brian had posted a picture of a prototype board for the Timelapse. I'm willing to wait pretty much as long as it takes for this project. I needs it.
Crash? do explain...
about half a year ago or so the forum crashed. real bad. all the content of about 3/4 of a year prior to that was lost.
Will the timelapse have the option for buffered bypass with trails? IMHO I think EHX really messed up with the DMMTT on this one, it may sound great but its so abrupt when you disengage it, makes it useless for me...
i have a spare ABDX if anyone wants it. its somewhat populated. PM me and ill send it over for a very fair price including shipping.
im interested in that aquaboy deluxe board if you still have it...
Any updates on the Timelapse? been jonesing for this for quite awhile, I hope it has a trails bypass mode!!!

You can change pretty much any delay to have tails. There is normally a capacitor in between the incoming signal and the bbd/pt2399. Put a footswitch just befor the cap and possibly a pull down resistor to prevent popping. And don't wire it for true bypass.
It works well but you are at the mercy of how well the circuit is designed. Your signal will always pass through a part of the circuit and any noise introduced will always be there.
