I'm moderately surprised for some reason that there isn't a Redbox style DI/Cabsim PCB available. Any chance of that coming up?

I've run across some perf builds of cab sims; they didn't look too bad.

Runoffgroove has the Bulldog cab sim and Sabro has a vero layout for a Redbox.
