i just built the moodring it sounds great. i was Wondering if anyone has tried using the btdr-3 brick instead of the btdr-2? it would give some extra contrĂ´le on the reverb, but would it work?
Greg
it would surely work, but in the moodring you have the pre-delay anyways, so I'm not sure how much difference it will make.
i like the tone control (mood) from the moodring too, it really adds a nice texture to the reverb.

The description of his video says he used the long BTDR-2H brick. He'd have another additional pot if he used the BTDR3-H
I guess what I am wondering if it's worth going all out building the moodring and having extra control over the reverb with the btdr-3 or just building a simpler reverb like the ping. I built a moodring but made the mistake of bringing it to practice and one of my guitarist tried it and he bought it on the spot he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Oops, sorry. I thought the 3 just meant the long one.
