Title: Run Pork Barrel @ 12v-have to re-bias?
Post by: blearyeyes on May 03, 2016, 03:44:37 PM
If your planning on running a Pork Barrel @ 12v should you re-bias the circuit @ 12v?
Looks like you should in my limited knowledge.

Nope!

So why doesn't increasing the input voltage to the power section increase the bias and mess with the chorusing you set using the 10k trimmer?

I'm sorry - what I thought you were asking was if any resistor values around the clock needed to be changed  (I forgot about the trimmer.)

You might need to make a slight adjustment to the trimmer or it may be fine as is. IIRC when I last tried 9v vs. 12v I did little or no adjustment. The trimmer adjusts the bias voltage for overall headroom whereas the clock is modulated by the LFO.

Here is a really good link for circuit analysis:http://www.electrosmash.com/boss-ce-2-analysis (http://www.electrosmash.com/boss-ce-2-analysis)
