Title: Re: Non-Polar Caps
Post by: K3yPr0gg3r on May 11, 2016, 08:59:19 PM
Hi,

I've got a build that requires a 10u Non-Polarized Cap. I found this: http://www.newark.com/multicomp/mcgpr63v106m5x11/aluminum-electrolytic-capacitor/dp/38K4707
The only thing is it's HUGE! 11mm height, and I'm not sure it will fit on the board...another from the TH Custom Effects Jenny build. Ran a search on Mouser, SB, and Tayda with 0 success.

Thanks for any help

11 mm height isn't too big? I am enclosing in a 125B, so I guess I'll have enough room. Thank you for your help!!

If constrained on headroom, and depending on the PCB layout, sometimes you can lay/bend the tall caps horizontally over resistors or diodes.
