Title: N.Fish, Brown Eye, Tree Drive and Flower Vibe
Post by: brejna on June 14, 2016, 08:38:27 PM
Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted a build report..

I have here another N.Fish which has been populated for long time.. I couldn't find on/on/on switch, so Brian send me one for free and finally it is finished! Yaaaaay! :D This is gift for a good friend of mine who is a bass player. Again I must say BIG thanks to Brian!

Second one is BSIAB2 with contour pot and 18v operation with fet switching, squeezed in a 1590a enclosure. Finish is laser etched faceplate.

Third one is Ego driver I got from Tremster in PIF month of 2014 and it was time box this thing... Thanks mate once again for pcb. Enclosure is etched, painted and brushed..

And fourth one is Micro Vibe, my try on ic based univibe built in 1590a enclosure which is reverse etched and painted. There are two boards inside, one is audio part and other one lfo mostly. I added fet switching, too.

I hope you like them..
Cheers
Brane

Awesome looking pedals Brane!  I'm sure they sound as good as they look.  I hope that you will make the flower vibe available  ;D

Hi,

What bulb did you use on the mini-vibe?  I looked in your build docs and didn't see one specified.

Thanks!

Andy

Best option is to use low current bulb. I used 12v 20mA in my build.

I'm sure it can be done using this kind of dual pot for "Speed"
http://www.banzaimusic.com/Alpha-9-PC-STE-100k-lin.html (http://www.banzaimusic.com/Alpha-9-PC-STE-100k-lin.html)
but the PCB is made for this kind, with the two legs, right:
http://www.banzaimusic.com/Alpha-9-PC-ANG-100k-lin.html (http://www.banzaimusic.com/Alpha-9-PC-ANG-100k-lin.html)
Is there a source for the correct one?

I used as you say correct one, but it seems it is out of stock :/
First one should work, but you will just have to be careful with assembling

Would you be able to point me to where you picked yours up from?  I'm not having much luck with the search and I'd hate to order the wrong one.

Thanks!

I'd bet this will work fine.

I think this one is too big, it won't fit inside 1590a box..

The size of that one is fine, I have one here and it will fit.  Will the 18V pose a problem?

Is this the same thing Dan? Google found a similar part number at mouser.

I think it will be ok, SME wouldn't offer them for univibes otherwise. Did you order this one? Also I got email from Small Bear and dimensions are
Light bulb - 3 mm in diamter, 3.5 mm in height.
Body that hold bulb - 3.8 mm in diameter, 3 mm in height.
Leads - 0.5 mm in diameter, 6.3 mm in length and 2.5 mm spacing between leads.
