Post by: Lucas G. on June 30, 2016, 02:28:58 AM
Hello Guys, I'm having troubles with my Pork Barrel V.1
When I turn it on it sounds like a hooter and I can control it with the knobs haha
I have clean sound and when I turn the trimpot to the right the hooter sound starts and the signal go away.
My voltages is.

Make sure you made the fixes to the pcb error since that's an early board. It should have the details on Madbean's build guide. I know there is a resistor that has to be added on the underside of the board....correction
... it's a rev1 board so nevermind...

Right off the bat, your voltages for IC1 are way off.. You should be getting 8-9v on pin 8. I did not compare your other voltages.

Take a look at the datasheet for the 4558
http://www.ti.com.cn/cn/lit/ds/symlink/rc4558.pdf (http://www.ti.com.cn/cn/lit/ds/symlink/rc4558.pdf)

and also compare your voltages to the ones in the pork barrel build doc.
http://madbeanpedals.com/projects/PorkBarrel/PorkBarrel_2015.pdf (http://madbeanpedals.com/projects/PorkBarrel/PorkBarrel_2015.pdf)

Edit: I realized I offered no solution.. I would  just start by comparing voltages to the build doc. This should at least start pointing you in the right direction of either a short or wrond value part. Hope this helps some how.

I'll be checking all the components off the power stage in the morning!
thanks for your help.

Also, your LED"-" and "I" pads look like they might be bridged at the bottom of the board.

I've checked and have no bridge there. :/
