Madness!!
But it does satisfy my desire for more hard-tail Strat options.

I've bought a couple guitars from Rondo and it's been a good experience. As with GFS, realistic expectations is the key.
There must be a NGD in the works.

Oh yeah, me too. Good stuff, generally.

Nah, just musing about my long-running desire for a hard-tail Strat. There seem to be so few available at any give time, from Fender or otherwise.
I'm the perfect mixture of angry and offended by the sight of that
Just saw that in the e-mail today, wondered how they made it work, must not be as tall as a TOM on an LP

Tell you the truth, I am not a fan of this either.. I don't know why. I mean, it looks so weird to me.. haha

I don't know, guys. It does have a sort of 60s car look to it. ;D

I think it's delightfully subversive! That is, I like it because I know it would bother some people. That's just the contrarian in me.
It's hard to tell if they recessed the bridge or angled the neck pocket. An angle neck pocket might change the feel of strat against the body in an undesirable way. For less that $200, it might be worth risking it to find out.
Shoot, get yourself a strat neck, nobody will know! I'd love to have a hard tail strat.

If I want a hardtail, I think I'd prefer a tele style partial bridge on a strat. The big TOM and stop bar just seems to be more than necessary.

Now that would be interesting.

You could go all the way and take off the stopbar and put a Bigsby B5 on it. Then it would be fully sacrilegious.
wouldn't be the first, and it's probably not as bad as it could get...

But, I think a chopped tele bridge would look better too.
