Title: Modulation Monster (Pangea)
Post by: flanagan0718 on September 02, 2016, 02:44:50 AM
Hey Everyone,
I finally finished this. I LOVE this pedal. There are so many options and the voicing cap board just adds that much more. This thing rocks! Here are some pictures for you. I'll try and get a video up soon

I acid etched the enclosure. I wish I had been a little more patient with it but oh well. I'm still pretty happy with how it came out. Thanks for checking it out guys, and thanks to Brane for the awesome project and AMAZINGLY detailed build report!!

Nice one, Mike!  I need to find the time to build mine.  Where did you get the voicing cap board?  That looks cool.

Thanks Bob, I got it from OshPark. There should be a link in the build doc. I think there is an etch file in there too. I can etch you one next time I do some boards if you want.

Hah, since I haven't started it I never read the build doc - I just knew that the board didn't come with it.

Looks really cool Mike! I've got my board populated and am just waiting on my enclosure from PPP. Which cap combination are you liking the most by the way?

I just used the suggested ones in the doc. The different tone from each one is VERY noticeable.

This looks so awesome! Great job. Put it after your "I think I have a problem" build and space out

Super nice build!
Reminds me a lot of the style of a builder named Nico who used to post. He is/was one of my all-time favorite builders. His website is no more, but if you are unfamiliar, here is his blog:

Oh man I have to get back to building. I have everything to build that.. Really nice job. I like the enclosure as well, it has that post apocalyptic I lived through a nuclear explosion thing going on.

This build has given me a wake up call...We probably all have so many builds to finish and. I have had this board almost completed now for over a. year..that is. embarrassing.

Thanks for giving me a kick...you have done a great job...your build and finish looks awsome.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I was a bit unsure on the enclosure. I almost lost it in a couple places when sanding. It turned out alright though. I have another board set that I need to box up. I'll probably let one of the completed builds go though.

This is one of the highest compliments one could give. For a few years now there have peen people here that inspired me (pickdropper, selfdestroyer, Govmnt_Lackey, GCFX, Madbean, midwayfair, etc.) and to hear that I inspired someone like they do me....Thanks. It means a lot to me.

Also Nicofx has some great stuff! I've been following his blog for a while now. Love his ring mods.
