Title: Mid-fi Demo Tape Fuzz clone
Post by: matmosphere on September 16, 2016, 11:41:47 PM
I tried my hand at electrical etching again and was having trouble getting a good result, so this one was done with ferric chloride. Obviously hand drawn, I was trying to get the look of a cassette in an old multi-track. The LED is obviously on the record button ;) Paint marker makes an excellent resist for etching.

The main thing I wanted to include here is that THIS CIRCUIT SOUNDS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

I had heard a lot of good things about it but I wasn't expecting it to be this great. If there are any Stooges fan on here I'd recommend building this one. It's basically Search and Destroy in a box. Nails that sound perfectly.

Unfortunately this'll probably be my last build for a while. I just started a new job and things are probably going to be to busy for a while.

I'll try to post a gut shot sometime.

Awesome, I really like it.

And it's such a great circuit, I agree. Amazing.
