Title: Madbean Harbinger Noise Issue
Post by: darrenw6000 on September 26, 2016, 12:17:56 AM
Just built this uni vibe, getting the effect but also a kind of static-y 'frying bacon' sound pulsing along with the effect. Power issue or something else?

I'm getting similar, corresponding to pulsing of lamp.  Is this similar to what you experienced and did you overcome this?  sb

I'm also having that problem, there's  a hiss noise that pulsates with the lamp,  it's barely noticeable when I play clean stuff, but very noticeable and annoying when I play with gain pedals.

I just realized now that I used a 0.5W 15V zener diode instead of the 1W required.  Could that be the problem of my hiss noise? I don't know what a lower wattage  zener diode does to the circuit, Everything works though, only it's noisy.

Fixed it!

it was the zener diode.  No noise anymore, now I can enjoy my fuzzface in peace.
