Title: Heat and humidity
Post by: ddj3891 on November 04, 2016, 12:02:11 PM
I do my work and store all of my things in a toolshed that is only air conditioned while I'm in there. Being that I'm in the gulf south, it gets pretty hot and humid in there. Should I be concerned of damaging any of the components I have stock piled in there?

Some components' leads can rust, so it's never a bad idea to clean them off with some fine sandpaper before soldering. You don't have to worry as much about the components themselves, though -- they're usually made to take worse punishment than humidity.

I'd keep bits with moving parts inside (pots, trmmers, etc) but honestly that is likely mostly paranoia on my part.
