Title: Deathclaw
Post by: jlhofman on November 16, 2016, 01:30:29 AM
I just finished building Deathclaw.  And it doesn't sound quite right.

Here are my voltages:
9.68v Supply

IC1:  TL072      REG   LM78L05     Q1/Q2   MIN   MAX
1       4.71         IN        9.41          E       1.54   1.54
2       4.71         GND     .5mV         B       2.16   2.16
3       4.70         OUT     5.04           C       2.10   2.10
4       0.0
5       4.70
6       4.71
7       4.71
8       9.40

IC2/IC3     PT2399      PT2399
1               2.04             5.04
2               2.39             2.42
3                .8mV            .7mV
4                .8mV            .7mV
5               2.75             2.79
6               1.95             2.09
7               2.36             2.86
8               2.65             2.86
9               2.42             2.45
10             2.42             2.42
11             2.42             2.42
12             2.39             2.42
13             2.43             2.42
14             2.50             2.43
15             2.42             2.45
16             2.42             2.42

According to the instructions, Q1/Q2 are MIN/MAX are based on MIN/MAX of the delay.  I get no change going from one extreme to the next.  And some of the PT2399 voltages are off a bit.  Please point me in the right direction.  Thanks in advance.

So you're saying you get delays at a constant rate no matter where you set the potentiometer?

There is some variation.  But definitely no infinite repeats.

could you describe your problem a bit more detailed please? We need to know what part of the effect isn't working as it's supposed to so we have a starting point.  :)

It sounds more like reverb than delay.  The short delay is ok.  But there's really no medium, long or infinite delay.

Thanks everyone who tried to help.  I resoldered the delay pot.  And now it works fine.
