Title: Capacitors and the Aion L5 preamp
Post by: Timko on December 28, 2016, 03:13:28 PM
I began working on my L5 build over the weekend, but I realized my order from Mouser only included 4 100nF film capacitors. I have some Mouser MLCC caps (rated at 50 volts) as well as some Tayda ones. The build doc suggested that I use the order sheet, which I'm trying to do. I'm trying to slowly replace all of my Tayda capacitors, but would film caps from them be all right in a build like this?  I know their electrolytic capacitors aren't the best, but are their film caps decent?  Or could I use the MLCCs I have?

The Tayda film caps are just fine in my experience!
