Built Delyk's horizontal version of Drolo's twin peaks circuit. Really cool pedal, sounds great!
This is probably my 50+ pedal built, but have previously never done any artwork or labeling on my pedals. I learned how to use inkscape and leveraged some artwork from others that have built this pedal. I tried printing on clear adhesive paper, but when I applied it to a sanded aluminum enclosure there was a bunch of air underneath. I could never get it to lay as a waterslide might and it looked horrible so I abandoned that idea. I ended up sending my art work to PPP and had them brush, paint, and UV print the graphic. Sort of costly, but turned out great.
The tap tempo led is not as bright as I would like, but it's usable. Might try and tweak it at some point.
I put DJN Pedals on the enclosure because it's my initials and thought it would be fun. I am not trying to take credit for this circuit at all. This is just for my personal use, will not build more or ever sell any, just thought it would fun to put something on there to personalize it.

Looks freaking incredible!
Unbelievable! Congrats on a great build.
Looks superb!
Lovely, just lovely.
The artwork looks fantastic.
Did you roll your own ldr/leds?

Yep I rolled them, then put heat shrink over it and pinched the ends

Great artwork and very clean inside!
Dude, that looks spectacular. Nicely done!
Beautiful work!
Saw this on Instagram last night and my jaw dropped. Love the finish on this.

It really does look great! Glad you went with the candy teal--I can't get enough of that color!
That's beautiful! Really cool of drolo to allow his design to be used by delyk also.

Agreed. I was surprised he allowed it.
Oh man! That's awesome! The ripples look like they're engraved from the way the light reflects out from the center.
I think I've found my next project - I like the trem I built, but that looks like so much tweaky fun!
I am starting on the design for a Twin Peaks enclosure after finishing populating the drolo board. The delyk board is TINY! The artwork here looks great too.
Did you find the roll-your-own Vactrols to your liking in this build? Just Tayda LDRs and red LEDs? I ask because I have yet to put that component on my board and was planning to go in the same direction.
Beautiful :o

I used white LEDs with GL5516 LDRs from eBay (on the recommendation of David Rolo). They are cheap and work great. Solder two legs of the LDRs together for each vactrol. Here's a quick demo of how they sound in the cherry pie:

Why am I soldering 2 legs together? I had to do that on my phaser (it had 2 LDRs per LED), but on this one I'm not sure why I'd do that.
I presume it's to increase the resistance. It was suggested by drolo on this forum.
That's beautiful, would love to build one of those.

I asked David about this and he didn't know what it was for.
Or at least I don't remember :-)

just to avoid any confusion, the thing with connecting 2 LDR's together was to emulate the VTL5C3/2 dual optocouplers used in the liquid mercury:

For the Twin Peaks you just need a regular optocoupler, composed of one LDR and one LED.
This is absolutely stunning. What a great looking pedal. Congrats!!

Ok, that makes sense. And I did something similar on my phaser build. Thanks for the response!
Wow- I really like the color and design you did. Quite impressive!
I'm starting to build one of these and wondering how you did the artwork layout. Might you be able to point me to an example or template? Especially for the waveshape and multipliers- seems like this is tricker than other designs I've done.
