Title: Eagle Users, Board Sizing and component placing
Post by: darrenw6000 on February 05, 2017, 09:52:48 PM
using Eagle, once you have your board shape how can i get components centred, there must be a tool that can do this. Trying to get the LED pads so they are exactly centre of the board etc etc

Bring up the properties of the part (the "i" tool). You can manually set co-ordinates there.

Also, setting your grid correctly really helps. If you're working in mills, setting your grid in some division of 100, like 25, can help with placing things correctly. If your board width is 2000 mills square, then the middle will be 1000x1000.

If you are not specifying your x/y in the info:
After setting your grid, hold command and left mouse click to snap component to the grid when using the move tool.
