The guitar sold for $900.00 and I did not win. I did meet the guy who made it and had a great conversation. The guitar body and neck is 100% handmade, no store bought. He has a luthier class in the high school behind my kids school.
Participates or teaches? There can be a major difference in build quality depending on that difference.
Sounds very familiar though, the luthier class I go to used to be in a school workshop too. While they had a lot of useful tools, some of it was in terrible shape because of poor handling by the pupils.
