Title: Relay details
Post by: Jules on April 09, 2017, 08:22:38 AM
I have seen some VFE pedals use a latching 4.5 volt DPDT relay and others us a 5 volt.
what type should be used for these projects? I have already ordered a couple of the Panasonic TQ2-L-4.5v, hoping I can use them.
hoping to see the first lot released soon!

The schematics on the VFE site for the alpha dog and pale horse both list the TQ2-L-5V. I don't know how closely they match what physically exists though.

From the doc:

QuoteThe schematic lists TQ2-L-5v as the relay in this schematic, but VFE used the TQ2-L-4.5v as well. According to Peter both work fine but he tended to use the 4.5v relay. The 5v is listed in the Mouser BOM because it is more regularly stocked.
