Today sucks

This one is hard to come to grips with. Saw him on his acoustic tour this year. Show was damn near magical with his voice and stage presence. He probably didn't even need the microphone. My heart goes out to his friends and family. RIP
Some reports are indicating that it was self-inflicted, but it hasn't been confirmed. Incredibly sad on multiple levels.
RIP
Oh man...this is hard to believe.
My wife just told me about this.
Such a bummer!

Feels really really weird, even without knowing the manpersonally. One of the best voices of my generation, if not the best.
Well this sucks.
He was a huge musical influence in my youth.
Another great talent from that scene taken. Cobain, Staley, and now Cornell.
Rest in peace, Chris.
Couldn't believe it when I heard the news this morning. Thoughts and prayers with his family.
Sad news to wake up to.
Had to double check my news feed when I woke up this morning. This sucks. Wasn't a big SG or AS fan, but I really appreciated Chris as an artist.
It's disheartening to think that of the biggest bands of the grunge/alternative era (Nirvana, PJ, Soundgarden, STP, AIC), there's only one singer left of the bunch.
Damn
Huge Soundgarden & Temple of the Dog fan. Didn't really follow Audioslave but I am sure that was good too.
Say Hello to Heaven.....
All I know is we need to put Eddie Vedder in a protective bubble immediately.

I literally just said this to a coworker, only I included Betty White in the bubble as well.

Great minds and whatnot.
That's insanity, just dropped apparently. *cries myself to sleep*

Really shocked by this one. :'(
This one hit me super hard. I was too young to really grasp Kurt's death. I didn't really get into Alice in Chains till after that all went down. Scott... nobody was really surprised by that one I think.
But Chris. Wow. I don't even know how to respond. The influence his work had on my life as a musician, and especially as a vocalist... words can't even say.
I can't even.
Jacob
:'(
He was in Kansas City on Sunday but I wasn't able to make it :(.
Rest in peace. I am a big fan, and his voice always hit where it hurts ... We'll still have his music .... "you gave me life now show how to live" ...
gutted :'(
Big Audioslave and Soundgarden fan. Played some Soundgarden songs live over the years. Recorded a few Audioslave covers up on my SoundCloud.
It always seemed like a good idea to cover his music, but it's hard to do it justice. Really proved how talented he was for me. He was a badass singer. Will be missed.
What amazed me was how he kept going. Even after Anselmo-style screeching, he kept singing.
I am not a guy who's into conspiracies but his suicide just seems so strange. His tweets and lead up to all this didn't seem like a guy who was about to take his life. Just put out a new single, brand new tour, sold out show, tweeting that he was excited to be in Detroit with a pic of the place, etc.
The only possible signal that I read was the fact that his encore was Zep's "In My Time of Dying" ....which was a change from the set list. It was suppose to be "Beyond the Wheel"
...just strange.
but what a bummer. :(
