Title: How do I add tone control?
Post by: CCS on July 07, 2017, 06:22:03 AM
Hey All, where and how do I add a tone control pot to this circuit (bazz fuss) I've tried to work it out on my own with no results. Advice would be greatly appreciated as I am a newbie to all this. Thanks in advance Paul

What do you want the tone control to do? Remove lows, add lows, remove highs, add highs, modify mids? This is a simple circuit, and I guess it does not have a lot of output (complex tone controls suck volume), so you probably want to keep it simple. If you want to play with the lows, an input cap blend is nice: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ff5_sc_easy.pdf (http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ff5_sc_easy.pdf). If you want to control the highs, one of these could be something to try out: http://www.muzique.com/lab/swtc.htm (http://www.muzique.com/lab/swtc.htm)

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to remove some muddy lows.

Then the cap blend is your weapon of choice. The ROG guys also use it on their Bazz Fuss Deluxe: http://home-wrecker.com/bazz.html (http://home-wrecker.com/bazz.html).
