Title: Retrograde 2014 Oscillating
Post by: fredwreck on October 24, 2017, 05:37:38 AM
Just finished a retrograde, it sounds really great. I've read a thread of someone having this same problem, but didn't see a resolution.

Turning up the Fuzz & Vol pot gives me an oscillating noise, it starts when I'm about 95% cranked on either pot, and it's significantly louder with the Oct switch on.

Voltage: 9.56

Q1

E 4.00
B 3.40
C 2.95

Q2

C 9.16

Q3

Any ideas? (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171024/b70525cd321444d4949ae09f167cacc4.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171024/aac3830b2ac03ed3ed6544e783dd9be3.jpg)

If you touch a wire between the transformer casing and the enclosure does the whining go away (random guess)?
Not sure what would be causing this unless it's just too much output. I'll bust mine out and see what I can find.

Sound is still there when I touch the casing.

Can anyone upload working voltages for the Retrograde please?  Still trying to trouble shoot this oscillating.
