I need to buy something from Brian or donate a few bucks.
Waiting for something new from Madbean!
What does the Pig Butt (op-amp muff) sound like? Have you build one? Do you like it?
It sounds a more trebbly/scratchy big muff. Not a massive difference, but distinctive in its own right.

(not a perfect comparison, as the russian units tend to be some of the more bass heavy designs to begin with, but gives you some of the flavor).
I like mine, though it makes my telecaster sound a bit too screechy. Plays well with my LP though.

Sounds like warm fuzzy goodness! Think Siamese Dream era Smashing Pumpkins.
Put your ear up close and see.
If I look closely at a pig butt I will know the truth.
I imagine it sounds like a busted speaker and smells about the same......

I guess the lesson here is that a big muff sounds like a big muff, or a Pig Butt. Never was into them much for myself back then.
Yeah it's not super different. It is a somewhat harsher distortion, but it's still a bmp.
It's bassy. And it's got more sizzle/saturation than a transistor BMP. So long as you can deal with the low end it's awesome. One of my favorite pedals.
