Hey guys! After getting massively disheartened with my last few builds and chucking in the towel, the building bug has returned! the final nail in the coffin was spending about 15-20 hours designing and building a Klon to go into the 1590A box using SMD, only for it not to work.
I've decided my first build is going to be a Clark Gainster in SMD. I build loads in the 1590B case, and just found my old 1590A layout, but with a few errors that I never saw before. First job is to redesign it slightly. While waiting for the board to come in, I'll get everything ordered for it and the box powder coated, and maybe see if my laser cutter still works as it's just been sitting in the garage for a few years, otherwise it's going to be a water slide decal.
That's great that your DIY interest has returned! One nice thing about a hobby is that you can put
a little into it or a lot into it. It's up to you. There's no external pressure.
