I'm starting a new series of projects called "Premium Limited Runs". Might be a hokey name but hey it fits. What's special about these?
- Updated classic/discontinued mbp projects. Maybe a couple new ones here or there.
- Done with premium PCB quality - gold plated pads and matte black silk screen.
- Includes soft-touch bypass.
- Fitted for either 1590B2 or 125B enclosures with top mounted jacks.
- Some parts will be included such as the micro-controller and relay for the switching, some of the power supply components, plus any specialty parts that are required.
- These will be "limited" in that they will only have one run - once they are sold they're gone.
- These projects will be more expensive but you will get a lot of value for the added $$.
- We'll start around the first week of September and there will be a new project every month for the rest of 2018.
The first project will be the EgoDriver. The next project in October will be the "For Fuzz Sake" (http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=26144.0).
Here's an example of what to expect!

And the FFS project.
The egodriver was the first project I made that actually worked! I love the idea of these - and you know I'll order em!
Awesome I love the pcbs nicely played sir.
When can we start ordering... want...

This looks pretty cool. I like the idea of onboard bypass.
Great idea! I like the limited run aspect. I'll hop on the egodriver for sure.
It reminds me of my first attempt at enclosure etching. I never boxed up the PCB, because the enclosure
was such a mess. I think I threw it away, but if I find it, I'll post some pics to get a few chuckles. :)
Excellent idea and funky resistor placement there on the FFS... great with the onboard relay switching.
Is that the Coda effects switching system?

It uses the FFX switching system.
Gotta have a delay, too.
What the buns is IC 2 and the crystal? Exciting!
I think I spy a FV-1 on the Mimeograph ;D
Looks super cool! I'll start saving some PayPal funds now. ;D
Cool idea. I'll bet these will sell like crazy. How many pieces will be available per project?
I'm eager for the delay!
Nice!

Not totally sure. It should be enough for anyone who wants to get one but not so many that they sit around for months. Most likely under 50 pieces each.
Here are the final two: BakeNShake Easyvibe and an updated/revised Sparklehorn. This makes a pretty good batch of projects, I think. Maybe some more in 2019.
Oooh, I want that Univibe.
Maybe I'll do two a month. Or, extend it into 2019. Here's a F.Factory and SWAW.
I bet if you set this up as a Paetron, you'd get 50 buyers committed for each release in advance.
These are all looking super cool. Want
Welp, I'm sold.
So, this is turning out to be a lot like when I did the 1590G batch: I set out to do a few and ended up with a full complement - most bases covered for a pedal board. But, I'm going to stop here....finally. This brings the total to 11 projects. That's it....I will stop. Really.
S'UpDog! is based on the Paul Cochrane JFET boost.
Quadrovibe is an update to the old project - offers a selection of vibrato, dual vibrato and vibrato + tremolo!
Kosmonot is a 4 stage phaser kind of in between the frequency central Causailty and a Small Stone.
TyDye (not labeled) is a dual parallel delay.
Seriously, time to move on. I'm glad I had a creative spurt but there are lots of things to attend to (can you tell I am arguing with myself?)
Fuck, dude.
I'm def interested in a couple of these.
These are awesome I'm definitely clearing the decks for some of these.
I'm seriously considering a Kickstarter to launch these. Would be for the ForFuzzSake and include several options - fully built by me, kit with finished/artwork enclosure, bare kit, etc. I've priced it all out and one solid campaign would fund the whole set of projects. I originally planned to offer the FFS as a kit anyway so this would check off both to-do columns. More soon!
Nice! I'd be in for a couple of these too, probably.
Go for it Brian I'd pay into a kickstarter for these.
I would back this Kickstarter in a heartbeat.
Kickstarter? Yes. Oh yes.
Gotta get me one of those Quadrovibes.
And I agree that a Kickstarter is a great idea.
Kickstarter this!
Interested, as well!

I might be willing to box a build or two for the kickstarter as well, if that was something you were interested in.
+1. Always up for adding a helping hand.
Wife is gonna keel me but...
WANT THEM ALL!!!
and I shall have em! 8)
Any news on these projects? They sounded like a lot of fun. :) Or did I miss them?

This was over a year ago, and I don't remember seeing them either.

I like to think of them as on hold ... with really funky muzak playing in the background while we wait for them to drop. But ... that's just me.
They're still happening just on hold at the moment. I'll have my regular end of the year announcement next month that gives all the details for what's coming in 2020, and part of that will explain what's happening with the PLR series. The gist of it is all projects are going to be split into "regular" and a new "pro" series (the PLR stuff). The pro series will be a mix of some permanent projects and limited runs, have standardized formats, relay switching and minimal wiring req'd. It will start up in January, I think.
Right now I'm wrapping up everything that's releasing in 2019 - should be at least 10 more projects by December.

They got pushed way back although the basic designs were completed a long time ago. I'd like to get these out for sure this year (sooner rather than later).
Cool! I was always a fan of the Quadrovibe so I am really looking forward to that one.
