Title: Harbinger One 2015 charge pump not working
Post by: jozabroz2000 on September 10, 2018, 07:24:59 PM
Hi,
i have a problem getting 18v with LT1054 charge pump. Tried couple of chips with same result. I am constantly getting 9v after D3.
Already checked all solder joints, grounds,... It is like my chip does not do anything.
I have LT1054 CN8 chips (not sure about this CN8-is this ok?).
Could somebody check and guide me what how to debug.
BTW, rest of pcb is working perfectly, bulb is working but weak with trimers all the way up (because there is only 9v) Can hear signal trough the amp, and effect too.

thanks in advance

You need to omit D1 when using the charge pump.

thanks
I did it. The problem is solved with another stock of LT1054.
But, now :) I have problem with rate led. There is no v on collector of Q15. I have 15v on emitter and 14 on base. when I touch base with screwdriver led light on but not pulsating (strange).
thanks again

Q15 is PNP so the 15v you are reading should be one the collector (the pinout is opposite of 2n5088). Are you sure you have not confused the two?

1. emitter 15v stable
2. base 14.4v stable
3. collector (before R54 and led) now reading negative 1.5v
