Title: Starting the Dig Dug v2
Post by: LaceSensor on October 08, 2011, 12:55:38 PM
Hi,

Banzai messed up my order.
I have 8 x B100K peices for the sequencer board, but they send B250k potentiometers for the filter and speed. Would using these cause big problems? Or should I wait for potential replacements...

Banzai is really getting on my nerves with mistakes in orders!

Thanks

Also I remember reading somewhere that the led pads were the wrong way round on the etch at home version. Is this the case? So is the square pad the anode or cathode of the led(s)?

Thanks

You could place a resistor across the legs of the pots to reduce its value, the same way you can put resistors in parallel. A 180k resistor across legs 1-3 of the pot will reduce it to a little over 100k. Not sure about using a linear in place of a log though.. it'll still work but maybe just not as well.

I had to buy 10 of to get a discount so figured id sacrifice the log taper.
All the same sounds will be there just a bit fudged.
Im hoping Banzai will replace me 2 x 100k before I start bodging resistors over lugs.
