Title: Rangemaster with some mods and Roadrage
Post by: timbo_93631 on October 12, 2011, 07:51:02 PM
The same Rangemaster clone in the build reports.  Pretty pleased with this one.  The video quality and sound is so-so, shot on my Panasonic Lumix point and shoot cam.  I am getting a webcam this week, hopefully will do better audio recording.

Nice demo.  I recently build a rangemaster also.  I just have one switch on the input cap between a 4.7nF and a 12nF.  Love those germanium diodes.  Great idea!

Thanks for the nice comments guys!  I added annotations to the video describing the various switch positions.  After listing to the clip a few times I realize the audio recording capability of my Lumix isn't hifi enough to catch all of subtle variations in the tone.  Overall it sounds good, but I was hoping to be able to illustrate the differences between clipping stages a bit more.  I am really digging the Mullard OC71 in this one, will have to build a few more like this!
