Title: Cherry Pie Tremolo Questions
Post by: chongmagic on November 13, 2018, 04:31:41 PM

I was wondering if anyone has built one these here? If so, I just finished up mine but there wasn't a guide that I could find on biasing the vactrols.

I tried kind of following the way I did it with the Cardinal tremolo but it doesn't seem to behave the same way. Also, if anyone has built this can you tell me is the LED at D2 is supposed to illuminate? I am used to the square solder pad being positive for LEDs and on this PCB they are reversed which kind of screwed me up. I reversed the LED and in the process I destroyed the solder pad and had to run a jumper to the tranny but it lights up and not sure that it should.

The tremolo works otherwise, in the treble only mode it just pops so I am hoping it is a biasing issue. The other modes work fine.

In regards to the biasing I found the build doc for David Rolo's Twin Peaks and will try using that for biasing.

Still curious about the LED though.
