Title: Pop in relay switching with SHO.
Post by: elenore19 on January 30, 2019, 05:42:31 PM
Hey all.
I built a Zvex SHO for a friend. it popped really hard when he engaged it
Looked it up to be a common problem. I replaced the 3pdt with a relay bypass.
Now there's a pop every time he hits the switch. Any ideas? Here's a link to the video.

He tried a different power supply, without other pedals hooked up, etc.

Thanks for any help!

Try a pull down resistor on the input, if you don't have one already. 1M or so...

Or this... http://www.muzique.com/lab/led.htm

How is the Relais controlled? Is there a microcontroller in the box?
