hi there

i'm assembling a complete road rage (-9, 15, 18 v). can any body tell if the regulator used in the road rage needs to have a (additional) cooling (e.g. mounted onto the enclosure)?

Generally no. Regulators can get warm but if it gets painfully hot then something has probably gone wrong.
