Title: Powering the Current Lover with a Road Rage to run at 15 V
Post by: hamerman55 on April 29, 2019, 12:53:10 PM
I'm assembling the parts to build a Current Lover, and wanted to run it at 15 V. Does the Road Rage provide enough current? If not, has anyone tried using 18 V in and adding a regulator circuit to step down to 15 V (like in the 18 V M117 MXR Flanger)?

I've made a couple of current lovers using both the solutions.
I use always the LT1054 charge pump, so the current is enough. I don't know with other CP... I suppose that the 7660 should be ok, but I'm not sure.

Thank you for replying! I'll try the Road Rage then, and use the 15 V tap. I'll post how it works out.
