A friend asked me, if I heard of the Airis savage drive and if I could possibly built him something along those lines. Obviously he was shooting for a clone, but I have found next to nothing about it online.
It's a 4-knob drive pedal (vol, drive, bass (tight), tone (bite)) using one IC (likely an opamp) and 2 transistors, so I'm thinking it could be some kind of cranked tubescreamer.

Any input? Thanks
PedalPCB has a clone board available, and the schematic in the build docs.
Its vaguely Screamer-ish, though no clippers, and a bit more control in the first op-amp stage.

Fun challenge! I looked through a few build docs on Aion electronics, because he has so many drives. The only one I found that didn't have any pF caps and one op-amp was Maxon/Ibanez SD-9 Sonic Distortion. Also, looks like diodes are taken out, i.e., permanent lift mode.
Actually, this circuit looks a lot like the Ibanez Black Noise, without the clipping diodes and gyrator tone control. It pretty much sounds exactly like it too:
(maybe just buy a Black Noise for way cheaper?)
thanks for all the input guys. Will have a look at your suggestions
