Title: Source for scored ribbon cable?
Post by: Aentons on June 14, 2019, 05:31:57 PM
Anybody have a good source for ribbon cable where the wires are not right next to each other (preferably 2.5mm/.1" pitch) and that is scored for easy separation?

Also looking for options on whatever would be the best type of small quick connect for this. ie. good for audio and power)

I've been on the lookout myself, and the best I have found is Mammoth (but would totally be open if people have found other sources)

Ok, I did a little research and the ones in the pic I posted appear to be one of these from Molex:

Series 25001 Strip and Retain Jumpers - 26 AWG
Series 25002 Strip and Retain Jumpers - 24 AWG

Digikey has some but it is listed as obsolete

Mouser doesn't have the 2" 6 conductor version but does have 9. part#25001-0902

For those interested, I believe the specific part shown in the pic is the 1" 6 conductor version part#25001-0601

Not sure that's exactly what I was going for so I will continue to look.

I might be able to search on TaoBao or ask some folks on Shenzhen. Have any luck with eBay?

Mouser has some. Here's a link for the three conductor stuff.

Mouser is out of the six conductor which is what I was using. They do have some eight conductor stuff as well. It works for me perfectly (better than the six actually) because I can trim off two wires and use them from the DC jack to the board and still have the six conductors left to go from the main board to my bypass boards.
