Title: PING reverb schematic question - VB, VC
Post by: 1simc1 on September 15, 2019, 08:30:44 PM
Hello, new user here and a very much beginner in building pedals :) but i have some experience in making PCBs.
I want to make my own PCB from the official ping schematic. Very nice schematic but i am unsure what the meaning of the two labels VB and VC are. Is it just there for common connection of the nets or is there also a connection with any offboard wiring like the labels L, IN and OUT? (see the attachment)

Thank you for this amazing website full of info and inspiration! :)

Hello and Welcome!

Those are common connections. Vb to Vb. Vc to Vc. They do not mix. The Vb DOES NOT connect to the Vc.

Good Luck!  ;D

Vc is the power supply for most of the circuit.

Vb is a reference voltage of half of Vc.

aaha good. so they are just for connecting nets in the schematic. nothing outside of the board.
Thank you all! cant wait to make it! :)
