Title: Source for 1590B2 enclosures
Post by: benny_profane on December 30, 2019, 02:50:20 AM
Anyone know of a source for Hammond 1590B2 enclosures or workalikes (NS, etc.)?

You can get them for $10 a piece on Amazon with free shipping (4 left in stock).  It also looks like Angela Instruments carries them as well as a PPP and few others per the google.  I don't think you can beat $10 for a Hammond 1590B2 right now though. Not sure about workalikes but that may be the ticket if you want to get the price down.

Mouser has them as well.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between a b2 and a regular b?

Thanks for the responses. I think that PPP has the 25 MOQ for all non-clearance enclosures (even if undrilled/powder coated).

The 1590B2 is the same footprint as the 1590B, but it's taller and thus easier to drill top jacks with it. The new MBP projects include a template for this option if you want to check it out.
