Just realized I don't have one. Some research shows that 2 polarized in series (net to net) should work. I measured it and the capacitance is correct. Anything else I need to know?
Thanks
I have this project in the build queue, and was wondering if a film cap could be used here instead on the NP electrolytic? I would expect so. (Not that there are 2.2 uF film caps lying around either)
2-1ufs will work. That's what's on mine.

I don't think 2 1u's will work. I tied the 2 negative leads together on 2 4.7uf eloctrolytics and got almost exactly 2.2u. The sites I saw said that wiring caps in series halves both of them.
I'm sorry, I'm parallel. My bad.

2uf total will be ok, it's not enough to make a difference.

1uF film is a-okay. Probably even 220n.
MLCC should also work in place of film. This part is not in the audio path.
I used a 2.2uf monolithic, iirc.
